Texas Legislative Fellowship Program Application
Opens Dec 3 2025 12:00 AM (CST)
Description

The Texas Legislative Fellowship Program offers UT System students with an interest in the legislative process and Texas politics an immersive learning experience in Austin during the Spring 2027 semester. Fellows engage in coursework through their home institution and gain first-hand experience through a legislative internship at the state capitol. The Application Cycle has two phases: a priority deadline and a rolling admission period.

Priority Deadline: Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (11:59 p.m. CT)
Submit a completed application by the priority deadline to ensure a full review consideration.

Rolling Admission: April 16 to September 15, 2026
Following the priority deadline, we will continue to review completed applications on a rolling basis while capacity in the program remains. Submitting during the rolling period does not guarantee review or interview. Once the cohort is full, the application will close. Applications received after the program fills or after September 15 (11:59 p.m. CT) will not be reviewed.

Finalists will be notified and invited to participate in an on-campus interview. To be considered for the program, all application materials must be submitted by the deadline.
