The Graduate Archer Fellowship Program
Opens Sep 8 2026 06:00 PM (CDT)
Deadline Nov 1 2026 11:59 PM (CST)
Description

The Graduate Archer Fellowship Program provides graduate and medical students from institutions across The University of Texas System with the life-changing opportunity to live, learn, and intern in our nation’s capital during the summer. Home to many government, nonprofit, media, and research institutions, Washington, D.C., provides unparalleled opportunities for career growth and cultural experiences, enabling students to explore their interests in federal policy and public service. While in Washington, D.C., students earn in-residence credit for their coursework and gain hands-on work experience in an internship. Through a shared cohort experience, Archer Fellows build lasting friendships and professional connections. The Graduate Archer Fellowship Program is tailored to students’ own personal and intellectual interests, which allows them to connect their developing expertise to policy and public service.

Enrollment in the Graduate Archer Fellowship Program is limited and determined through a competitive process. The application process consists of two parts: (1) selection of semifinalists based on submission of application materials, and (2) interviews of the semifinalists, from which Archer Fellows will be chosen.

The application deadline for the Summer 2027 Graduate Archer Fellowship Program is Sunday, November 1, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. CST. Once the selection committee reviews applications, they will determine finalists to invite for interviews that will take place from November through early December 2026 and final decisions will be emailed by mid-December.

To be considered for the program, you must complete all sections of this application by the application deadline.
